Direct Award Contracts To An ANC 8(a)
As an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) 3SGS offers a unique flexible and streamlined direct award procurement option to our Government customers Available through all SBA certified 8(a) subsidiaries within the family of companies direct award contracting which provides the Government with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) provisioned methods to maximize performance flexibility mission continuity and small business goal achievements.
Under federal law our parent corporation and its subsidiaries’ joint ventures and partnerships are designated minority and economically disadvantaged business enterprises. The SBA advantage provides a simplified and accelerated acquisition process.
In addition to extensive past performance and highly skilled professionals the 3SGS Team provides, we offer a unique flexible and streamlined procurement option to our Government customers under the ANC Direct Award Process.
DIRECT AWARD ADVANTAGES
No Direct Award Dollar Threshold
13C.F.R. 124.506(b) SBA may issue a direct award contract to ANC 8(a) companies for a value of up to $25M (Fed/Civ) and up to $100M (DoD) without the need for a justification and Approval (J&A) The Buy Indian Act gives preference to Indian owned firms whenever practical.
Non Challenged 8(a) Direct Award
13C.F.R 124.517(a): 3SGS 8(a) companies eligible for a direct award or competitive 8(a) requirement may not be challenged by another participant or any other party either to SBA or any administrative forum as part of a bid or other contract protest.
The 5% Subcontracting Bonus
DFAR 252.226-7001: A DoD contractor that subcontracts with any 3SGS company is entitled to receive a bonus equal to 5% of the amount of the subcontract award through the DoD Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBL)
