Three Star Government Solutions (3SGS) was founded by the survivors of the 1912 Novarupta volcanic eruption.
The eruption of Novarupta was one of the most powerful volcanic events in modern history, releasing 100 times more material than Mount St. Helens and reshaping Alaska’s future. Through strength and unity, our people overcame adversity and laid the groundwork for a thriving, self-reliant community.
Today, Perryville leads with innovation, embracing geothermal and solar energy while fostering economic independence and cultural preservation.
Mount Katmai, the inspiration behind our name, was destroyed by the catastrophic eruption.

Our roots trace back to the Alutiiq people of Perryville, Alaska, descendants of those who endured the 1912 Novarupta volcanic eruption. This catastrophic event buried entire villages, including Katmai and Douglas, and transformed the landscape forever. Despite immense challenges, our ancestors rebuilt their lives, establishing a new home in Perryville, Alaska—a community founded on perseverance and innovation.
