- Regulation: 13 C.F.R. 124.506(b)
- SBA may issue direct award contracts to ANC 8(a) companies for up to:
- $25 million for Federal/Civilian agencies.
- $100 million for Department of Defense (DoD).
- No Justification & Approval (J&A) required.
- The Buy Indian Act prioritizes contracts for Indian-owned firms whenever practical.
Non-Challenged 8(a) Direct Award
- Regulation: 13 C.F.R. 124.517(a)
- 3SGS 8(a) companies eligible for:
- Direct awards.
- Competitive 8(a) requirements.
- Cannot be challenged by:
- Other SBA 8(a) participants.
- Any external party in an SBA bid protest or administrative forum.
The 5% Subcontracting Bonus
- Regulation: DFAR 252.226-7001
- DoD contractors that subcontract with 3SGS receive a 5% bonus on the subcontract award.
- Bonus is processed through the DoD Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU).
